Capernwray has had a heart for missions since it began and there are very few places in the world where past students from one of the Capernwray (Torchbearers) Bible schools is not currently serving.
Many past students join a mission agency for either short-term or long-term service. As part of students experience and training we like to give opportunities, where possible, for them to participate in Mission trips while they are here. This requires raising additional funds and so we would be grateful for any help you are able to give.
Some semesters students have the opportunity of an alternative 2 week ministry in Fiji. We build a team of maximum 12 students.
We work closely with Ray & Laura Pittman of Pioneers International missions organisation.
Their ministry is called Island Encounters. islandencountersfiji.com/
We focus the students towards the cultural experience & spiritual growth that they encounter while working on Oasis Farm & interacting with the locals.
The Farm is in it's development phase & it's aim is to serve the community. There are many practical jobs to be done.
The Team also has the opportunity to be involved in kids ministry.
In the past teams have been involved in different building projects, these include, Aqaponics systems, Pig pen, Chicken house, Demolition & Renovation.
The all-inclusive cost of this trip is NZ$2400 approx.
"Keep doing these trips. It was so beneficial to my growth spiritually." -Laura
