ABS Course

Adventure Bible School

Introduction

ABS (Adventure Bible School) is a 6 week outdoor based Bible School. It is aimed at developing the whole person; spirit, soul and body, particularly in the area of Christian living.

The Course

Course Title

"Christian Development and Leadership using Adventure Based Learning"

The ABS programme has been developed over many years, to allow students the opportunity to combine Bible teaching with physical and outdoor activities. Sea, sky, mountains, bush, and caves provide the setting for our classroom. Through challenging outdoor activities designed to stretch you, we explore practical Christian living and how we relate to God, others and ourselves.

The Programme

ABS is held 3 times a year - January, April and October. In applying for ABS there are a few options you can select from:

  • Just the ABS course at one of the 3 times held in a year (6 weeks)
  • ABS and completion of the term in regular Bible School (10 weeks)
  • ABS and completion of the whole Bible School semester (20 weeks), or the whole year (40 weeks)

NOTE:

  • All options are subject to course availability and acceptance
  • Applicants must be 18 years old and over to attend ABS
  • There are only 18 places available on each course and due to popularity these are filled very quickly (often 6 to 9 months in advance).
  • We operate a wait-list system so people can apply to be on standby to come if someone is unfortunate to have to dropout before the course commences. However, the wait-lists can be long, and we encourage you to apply early for an open place to avoid disappointment.
