Opportunities to serve with us...
Paid Staff Vacancies
We are looking to appoint an Outdoor Instructor to join our Adventure Ministries team early in 2026.
The appointee would be a person who embraces the Christian faith and is familiar with and actively supports the ethos of Torchbearers. Outdoor instructor qualifications and experience are required, but additional training and personal development is offered once employed.
Based at our Lake Karapiro site, the appointee will report to the Adventure Lodge Leader. This will be a paid full-time position for 40 hours per week, assisting with our Adventure Bible School programmes and other Capernwray NZ programmes.
If you believe that you have the skills, experience and dedication to support this unique Christian ministry, please follow the links to download the job description and apply, or email adventure@capernwray.org.nz to request more information.
Note: Overseas residents will need to successfully apply for a work visa. Please check your eligibility directly with Immigration NZ.
Volunteer Staff Vacancies
We’re adding to our team! Capernwray New Zealand is looking for people to serve with us starting in September 2025.
While we prefer to have someone commit for 12 months, we occasionally consider those who are only able to serve for a shorter time (e.g. 6 or 9 months).
The positions we are currently hoping to fill are in the following teams..
Hospitality (housekeeping and catering) from January 2026
Maintenance (from January 2026)
ABS Assistant (volunteer or internship)
Domestic Manager Assistant (volunteer or internship)
Admin / Personal Assistant for National Director (volunteer or internship)
Learn & Serve
Our volunteers serve as part of a wonderful team in a variety of support roles, designed to enhance the experience of Bible School for our students and conferences / camps and functions for our guests.
In addition to practical work tasks and gaining new skills, volunteers have opportunities to occasionally sit-in on lectures, participate in family group activity, Bible studies and other aspects of the Bible School programme.
Volunteers are provided full board (accommodation and meals) and some other practical benefits to support living costs while serving.
