Operations Manager
Capernwray New Zealand, also called Torchbearers, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the operational services that support our Christian ministry, and residential Bible School programmes.
The Operations Manager will lead Capernwray New Zealand’s operational functions, ensuring that its property, accommodation, grounds, kitchen facilities, vehicles and support services are safe, compliant, efficient and well maintained. By stewarding the organisation’s physical assets and delivering welcoming, fit-for-purpose facilities and services, the role supports the ministry, educational programmes, staff, students and guests.
The successful candidate will embrace the Christian faith and actively support the ethos of Torchbearers. They will bring demonstrated experience leading operational or property-services teams, together with practical knowledge of facilities, maintenance, contractor management and asset management.
This is a paid, full-time position of 40 hours per week, based at our Cambridge site and reporting to the National Director. The preferred start date is by the end of November.

Volunteer Staff Vacancies
We’re adding to our team! Capernwray New Zealand is looking for people to serve with us in 2027.
While we prefer to have someone commit for 12 months, we occasionally consider those who are only able to serve for a shorter time (e.g. 6 or 9 months).
The positions we are currently hoping to fill are in the following teams..
Hospitality (housekeeping and catering)
Maintenance
ABS Assistant (volunteer or internship)
Learn & Serve
Our volunteers serve as part of a wonderful team in a variety of support roles, designed to enhance the experience of Bible School for our students and conferences / camps and functions for our guests.
In addition to practical work tasks and gaining new skills, volunteers have opportunities to occasionally sit-in on lectures, participate in family group activity, Bible studies and other aspects of the Bible School programme.
Volunteers are provided full board (accommodation and meals) and some other practical benefits to support living costs while serving.
